Toolmaker/Machinist £22K-£26K We are currently looking for a Toolmaker/Machinist to work join a busy Manufacturing plant in Essex. Working under the Engineering Manager main duties will include:

Routine regrinding of tools, monitoring and maintaining them to ensure their optimum performance.

Production of replacement press tool parts (punches, dies, stripper plates, guides etc...), fitting and trial.

Tool fault diagnosis from component parts and subsequent rectification.

Support of press operators during reinstatement of tools and production trial.

Upgrade and modification of existing press tools.

Mould tool repairs and routine maintenance e.g. replacement of ejector pins, repair of minor collision damage, clearing gas vents, cleaning etc.

Minor mould tool modifications. The successful candidate will need to be apprentice served or with good evidence of formal training in toolmaking and workshop practise including turning, milling, grinding, spark eroding - all to fine tolerances. Qualified to ONC level or equivalent and having experience in a similar environment is advantageous. The role will be working days Monday-Friday and the salary will be paying between £22K-£26K depending on relevant experience.
